Meet David, the mastermind of pulling together the team of ownership for what has become the Watauga family. His interest in brewing was sparked in 1995 after experiencing the delightful and full-bodied tastes of Sam Adams Boston Lager and the Cream Stout. Though it was years before he finally took the plunge into home brewing, he has always been intrigued by the science of the process. By day (and some nights), David is a Nurse Anesthetist, but when he’s not in the operating room, you can find him pursuing his other passions. He is an avid outdoorsman with interests in fly fishing, hiking, amateur radio and photography. He is always on the lookout for the next “Alpha” trout or beer. Despite his busy schedule, David enjoys spending family time with his wife and their blended family of seven awesome kids and multiple dogs. His passion for beer is as exciting and bold as he is, and his dedication to his craft is unmatched. When she's not sipping on her favorite Citra Kolsch or Pickle Martini, you can find her effortlessly handling any pressure thrown her way - it's basically her superpower! Her coworkers lovingly call her the "Mama of Watauga" for her relaxed and casual vibe that makes everyone feel right at home. Autumn's the type of person who's always down for a good time and knows how to keep things cool and fun. She's got a natural chill that's infectious, and her love for the Watauga family and its employees is real. Rumor has it she can even breathe underwater - now that's something worth bragging about!"
